Warning fluff, pure fluff. and Unbeta'd
An early Mother's day treat.
The Rose
By Summer
She stared down at the creature before her and was stunned into complete silence. She had just given the little thing, standing before her in the kitchen, a bath that morning. Now, here it stood before her and what a sight it was to see.
Wet and drying mud was literally caked all over the form. From the top of his hair and into his hairy feet. Not one inch of him was free of dirt or grime. He looked like a lake monster.
Two big blue eyes stared back at her, beaming a smile of pure love and happiness. Devouted only to her. It was the love of innocence.
It was this that had kept her from losing control. From yelling at the top of her lungs. That and the beautiful yellow rose that he held out towards her.
"For you, Mommy!"
Blinking away tears and not caring about the mud that now covered Frodo's new clothes given to him by his father just last week, Primula bent down and pulled her beautiful little boy into her arms and hugged him tight. Only four years old and already he was one of the most thoughtful and most loving of children.
"Happy Mother's day." He replied, and Primula nodded with a chuckle.
"Happy Mother's day indeed, my little lamb."
The end.
