hobbit_holidaysThis is a community for posting drabbles, ficlets, stories, poetry, pics, art, or greetings revolving around holidays celebrated -- or encountered -- by hobbits. Stories can be as short as 50 words, or as long as 5000, and may certainly include non-hobbit characters; however, they must feature one or more hobbits and the holiday of your choice. First up... All Hallow's Eve (Halloween). What is Halloween like -- past or present -- in the Shire? Do villages such as Hobbiton celebrate differently than larger regions such as Buckland? Do the hobbits have stories or traditions to tell their fellow Travellers along the Quest, or at journey's end? Do the hobbits celebrate Halloween after they arrive in Rivendell?
