I enjoyed reading this story again. It's so gentle and one can feel the love between Frodo and Merry, as well as Frodo's anticipation of Bilbo's visit.

I just love this bouncy, loving little story. Especially details like this:

His mum placed his very own blue plate, with the running ponies painted around the rim, in front of him, loaded up with scrambled eggs and sausages and toast with lots of butter and brambleberry jam. And she gave him his very own special mug, of thick glass with two handles shaped like fish, full of cold milk.
