A/N: Autumn is my favorite time of year, but each change of season always makes me feel closer to the Shire and our hobbits, and usually has had something to do with 'how' a story begins in my mind. This is the first hobbitsmut challenge story I wrote. A light little thing, it grew into a darker series set during Harvest Festival in Hobbiton - The Homecoming Tales. Mews! Thank you so much for such warm words! (especially welcome as I'm trying again to find my beloved tousle-haired muses) Glad you enjoyed. Isn't it pleasant to re-read our own words after having set them aside for so long, and to recall some of the backstory that went into choosing what to put in the tale? That happened for me with this - it has helped.

Melyanna, you are so kind to let me know that you liked the Homecoming stories; I loved writing the series and it was, as is always the case, difficult to leave that part of their lives behind. It's nice that it might still be an enjoyable read!
